The ASPIE Summer Institute

This two-day training program offers teachers, therapists, school administrators, mental health professionals and parent advocates a series of workshops specially developed to improve educational and therapeutic programs and services for children and teens diagnosed with high-functioning autism, Asperger’s syndrome and Pervasive Developmental Disorder. Join us at the ASPIE School building, located in the lovely Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York!

First Annual ASPIE Conference
Holiday Inn, Kingston, NY

Keynote Speaker: Temple Grandin, PhD

The conference will focus on the issues that impact adolescents diagnosed with AS/HFA/PDD, especially on the experience of transition into adult life. Other guest presenters include: Michael John Carley, Anthony Castrogiovanni, Judy Cohen, and Chantal Sicile-Kira. The conference will also feature a panel of adults and students who will talk about their personal experiences as adolescents.
