ASPIE Training Institutes
August 29 & 30, 2005
April 29 & 30, 2006
The ASPIE Training Institute offers two-day seminars covering all aspects of education and therapy for students with AS/HFA/PDD. These specialized trainings are designed to provide a multidisciplinary resource for teachers, counselors, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech and language pathologists, school administrators, psychologists, social workers, teaching assistants, and paraprofessionals/classroom aides to pioneer their own supports and programs for high-functioning autistic students.
Organizational Consulting and Development
The ASPIE Institute also offers independent consulting, training, and development to school districts and other institutions in a variety of capacities. We custom design a wide range of hands-on trainings, mentorships for teachers and administrators, presentations, and educational workshops to fit our clients’ needs. The Institute also conducts needs assessments to help organizations identify and address problem areas in their existing programs.

Written by the ASPIE School’s Executive Director, Valerie Paradiz, this provocative and pioneering book is both a refreshing exploration of the history of autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) and a powerful story of the author’s own struggle with her son Elijah’s Asperger’s Syndrome.
